"We cannot know ourselves as consciousness. Nor do we need to. We can only be the consciousness that we are already. Already conscious, we take our consciousness for granted. Rather than acknowledge consciousness, taking ourselves to be a thought, we put the idea of ourselves on a pedestal, and a thought of who we are comes first.

Believing a thought to be more important than we are, our obsession with individuality and personality, creates all sense of separation and puts us all in conflict with ourselves and each other.

Separating us all, the whole humanity, is only a thought. Thankfully, our idea separates us only as long as our ignorance lasts.

As long as we keep ignoring ourselves, holding onto the idea, an idea being relative to us, can never be who we are.

Ignorance of our true selves is the crux of the matter. Self-ignorance. Which practices of yoga and meditation can suspend momentarily. But do not remove the problem.

Practices can also amplify and reinforce our ignorance. Rather than helping, a practice of yoga and meditation can become another deep sleep; veiling and holding the truth that is ever present.

Ever reached is ourselves.

Thinking I find myself in a practice, I still take myself and my being conscious for granted if I don’t know and understand myself.

A practice can remind me of the beauty and fullness that I am. Or, without knowing myself as already complete with or without the practice, can leave me feeling wholly incomplete.

What happens when I can’t do the practice? Without it, I feel useless. In reality, if I am already the meaning of all practice, no practice is meaningful without me.

Knowing myself as ‘the Meaning’, everything becomes meaningful. Without me in it the universe is meaningless.

Once I abide in Self-knowledge; conscious of myself I no longer fall asleep in a practice or a thought.

For a practice to be successful, I abide in the completeness SATCHITANANDA that is already myself. This means abiding in the changeless nature that is forever absolute.

Knowing myself as the timeless changeless consciousness with, or without the reminder of a practice, with or without anything. OM"
